Hello from the Madison Baptist Association!

ACP Forms are being mailed out today. These forms need to be filled out in time to create the necessary documents for the annual meeting, and we need each church to do it, no matter how big or small. Please take the time out of your schedule to fill these out when the information arrives rather than near the due date, and each church’s packets should include clear instructions as well as their login information. Thank you very much!

August 1st the MBA will be hosting its First Thursday for August! Come hear Dr. Jon Hathcock, our new Associate Director, at 10:30 and join us for lunch afterwards. We hope to see you there!

September 16-18th the MBA will be hosting a Sustainable Discipleship Workshop with Doug Burrier! The cost is $100 for MBA members, and you can sign up at https://www.sustainable-discipleship.com/madison-baptist.../

The BCM at UAH is still looking for some churches who can provide meals for their First Tuesdays at 7:30pm (the food need to be completely set up by 7:15). To sign up or learn more, contact our campus minister, Edwin Hocutt, at bcm@uah.edu or through 256-479-9921.

Rivertree has changed security systems and has approximately 140 key fobs available to any church that can use them. Please contact Tina Phillips at tphillips@myrivertree.org if you can use them.

There is still one donation if your church is in need of a keyboard/piano!

  • The keyboard is a Baldwin MCX-1000 with weighted keys. Please bring a truck with you to pick it up. For more specifics, you can contact Pat Blair at 256-536-6228.

 

Please be praying for:

  • Northside Baptist Church as they have a Block Party on August 11th to rebuild their connection to their surrounding community and revive their congregation.
  • UAH, Calhoun, and A&M’s BCMs as they try to reach college students during the first weeks of school in August. This is a time in the incoming students lives where they are most susceptible to follow a new belief, and we hope to draw many towards Christ.
  • The re-Man men's ministry event that is being held at Mt. Zion.
