Disaster Relief - Join the Team!

JOIN THE ALABAMA (MADISON ASSOCIATION) DISASTER RELIEF TEAM

Step #1 - Go to URL alsbom-gm.org

Step #2 - Under the blue LOGIN bar on the left side of the page, click on the word “here” in the sentence: “If you do not have an account and would like to register as a volunteer, click here.”  This will take you to the online Quick Registration Form.

Step #3 - Complete the registration form.  In the “Association” block, select “Madison”.  In the “Callout Preference 1” block, make any selection when registering.  This information will be appropriately set once you have completed Disaster Relief training.  After entering all required information into the form, click on the blue NEXT bar at the bottom of the page.

Step #4 - You will be assigned a Volunteer Identification (VID) number which will be your permanent ID in Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR).  Your VID will be included on your ID Badge along with your photo following completion of your first Disaster Relief training.  Create a password that along with your VID will be used to login to the Alabama SBDR database. Logout.

Step #5 - Using your VID and password, login to alsbom-gm.org   After successful login, you will see your name with your VID in parenthesis at the top right of the page.  Click on the down caret at the right of your name and select “Edit My Profile”.  This will take you to your Profile page which displays the information you previously entered in the Quick Registration Form during registration.

Step #6 - Select “Liability Release” at the top of your Profile page.  Read and complete the required information on the release.  Return to “Edit My Profile”.

Step #7 - Select “Background Check” at the top of your Profile page.  Follow the instructions to initiate your background check.  You may use either the online or mail-in procedure as described.  Following the online procedure is recommended as it is relatively simple and leads to the quickest turn-around time to receive results.

That’s it…simple as that!  Successful completion of these steps means that you are now registered as an Alabama SBDR Volunteer and affiliated with Madison Association.

Step #1 - Login to URL alsbom-gm.org using your VID and password.

Step #2 - Click on the down caret at the right of your name and select “Edit My Profile”. 

Step #3 - At the top of the page select the down caret next to “User Tools” and in the drop-down list select “Register for Training”.  This will take you to the “Course Offerings” page which will list any SBDR training opportunities that are scheduled/being offered at any site in Alabama.  Follow instructions to review and select/register for desired training.
